Definition
Process Modelling is a technique used to visually represent how work is performed within an organization — showing the sequence of activities, decision points, roles, inputs, and outputs that make up a business process. Process models may represent the current as-is state or the desired to-be state. They help stakeholders understand how work actually flows, reveal inefficiencies, and provide a foundation for requirements definition and system design.

- Defined process scope with agreed start and end points
- Stakeholder input from process performers, owners, and subject matter experts
- Existing documentation, SOPs, or prior process maps
- As-is analysis findings and improvement objectives
Outputs
- As-is process model showing current workflow with roles, decisions, and handoffs

When to Use
